Fire Erupts at Catonsville Antique Store, Causes Partial Building Collapse

CATONSVILLE, Md. — A fire broke out Sunday morning at a Catonsville antique store, resulting in a partial structural collapse and one reported injury.

According to Baltimore County fire officials, personnel from the Catonsville fire station observed smoke emanating from a building at 11 Egges Lane at approximately 8:08 a.m. Fire crews responded to the scene and discovered active flames inside the “Objects Found” antique store, which was closed at the time. The fire had also extended to the roof.

Authorities confirmed a partial collapse of a second-floor section of the structure during the incident. One firefighter sustained a hand injury unrelated to the collapse and was transported to a hospital for treatment. No additional injuries were reported.

Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control by 9:50 a.m. Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the fire.
