ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Memorial Art Gallery’s annual Art & Treasures Sale concludes on Sunday, drawing to a close a beloved local event known for its diverse array of gently used antiques and collectibles.
The sale features an extensive selection of fine art, china, porcelain, silver, crystal, jewelry, books, housewares, and small furniture. Items are donated throughout the year by community members who are downsizing or clearing out homes, with volunteers collecting and storing the contributions until the event.
“This is our major fundraiser for the Memorial Art Gallery,” said Janice Linehan, co-chair of the Art & Treasures committee. “Last year, we made over $80,000. Every penny goes to the MAG for exhibit support, children’s programs, and the creative workshop.”
Open to the public and free of charge, the event draws collectors, bargain hunters, and treasure seekers alike. Proceeds from the sale directly support the gallery’s educational and cultural programming.
The sale ends at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
